About

Websites, photographs and films for people who build things.

I grew up in Charlotte, Vermont, a quiet town just south of Burlington on Lake Champlain. My family — M.A., Winslow, and my younger brother Caleb — spent our seasons outside, skiing in the Green Mountains and exploring the lake. It is still the place I measure others against.

I moved to Boston in 2007 for Tufts, where I studied Human Factors Engineering, raced with the alpine ski team, and freelanced as a filmmaker and web designer in between. After graduating I joined Genuine, a digital agency in Boston, as a digital strategist — user-centred design and digital storytelling, put to work for clients who needed both.

In 2013 I went freelance full time. One of the first clients was Kinematiq, a Techstars startup building a wearable sensor that could measure what happens in extreme sports and turn a session into something you could compare and play against. Kinematiq became WOO Sports, and I spent the best part of a decade with them as digital strategist and visual storyteller, building games and a global community around kiteboarding, wakeboarding, freeskiing and snowboarding.

That chapter closed in 2026. These days I work with people who make something physical and need it seen properly: an architecture practice in New England, a watersports shop and school in Devon, a cafe by the sea. The work is usually some combination of a website, the photographs that go on it, and the film that explains it.

I split my time between Exmouth on the south coast of England and Vermont, which mostly means chasing wind in one and snow in the other.
